Glengormley & Fintona.
Died 10th July 2022.
Desmond passed away on the 10th of July, a widely respected, much loved family man, father, father in law, grandfather, son, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend. We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. We have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of mass and sympathy cards and private messages we have received. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Our thanks to those who called to the house, who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards, or flowers and those who left messages online or via social media. Thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped out in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Peter O’Kane for his spiritual support and the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially our musician James McShane who provided the beautiful music. Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Charlie for preparing Desmond’s final resting place.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Desmond’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Omagh on Friday 19th August at 7.30pm and may also be viewed via the Drumragh Parish Webcam.
Our Lady pray for him.
