McQuaid Barney, formerly of 303 Loughmuck Road, Fintona BT78 2BX died peacefully at Willow Grove Nursing Home on Tuesday 25th May 2021. Beloved husband of Margaret. Cherished father to Siobhan Murray (Peter), Fiona Kingsmore (Dr. Stephen) and Ronan. Devoted grandfather to Conor, Rachel, Rebekah, Daniel, Shane and Francesca. and great grandfather to Ava. Treasured brother to Tommy, Veronica, Kathleen and the late Jim, Willie, Joe, Peter, Maureen McMahon, Sarah McLaughlin and Nellie Mclaughlin. Barney will leave his late residence at 10.30am on Thursday 27th May for 11am requiem mass in St Lawrence’s Church Fintona, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route, Barney will travel from the Loughmuck Road along Church Bray, Main Street, Tattymoyle Road, and Lisdergan Road to arrive at 11.00am. In light of the Coronavirus and in the interests of health and safety within the community, the house will be strictly private with social distancing being adhered to at the funeral. Alternatively, the mass may be viewed at 11am via the Donacavey Parish webcam. Mullan Paul formerly of 7 Meadowbrook, Fintona BT78 2AN died suddenly on Friday 21st May 2021. Beloved husband of Maggie. Cherished father of Paula, Denise, Megan, Kirby and Jodie. Treasured brother of John, Winnie, Sally, Rosie, Liz, Bernie, Pauline, Joe, Paddy, Trisha, Marty, Tommy and the late Gerry, Hughie and Kitty. Paul will leave his late residence at 10.20am on Tuesday 25th May for 11am requiem mass in St Lawrence’s Church Fintona, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Monaghan Patrick (Patsy) formerly of 1 Spout Road, Fivemiletown BT75 0PD died peacefully at home on Friday 21st May 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary, Cherished father of Caroline Broderick (Micky), Una Dunlop and Louise Noble (Gary). Treasured brother of Annie Cusack, Thomas, Brendan, Tony, Malachy, Liam, Stevie and the late Gerald. Devoted grandfather to his 8 grandchildren. Patsy will leave his late residence on Sunday 23rd May for 11.30am requiem mass in St Mary’s Church Fivemiletown, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The family of the late Josephine Mc Mahon , ( 31 Gardrum Heights , Dromore ) would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.

Thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who paid their respects through cards, messages, telephone calls, food, donations to Ataxia Ireland Foundation and by lining the route to St Davog’s chapel.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the wonderful people who cared for mum during her illness, the carers from Lakeland Community care,  Ward 1 staff and the staff in the HDU and Intensive care wards in the South West Acute Hospital.

Many thanks to Fr Patrick Mac Entee for a beautiful funeral mass and for his prayers and support in her final days and to Barry Kirwan for the beautiful music and to Sheena from Bumblebee Garden for the lovely flowers.

We are also extremely grateful to Patrick Mc Atee (Mc Atee funeral directors ) for the dignified and caring way he carried out our mothers funeral arrangements, and the staff at Lakeland crematorium in Cavan.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as a token of our appreciation to you all.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth Dunne, Dromore, Co Tyrone.

Dunne Elizabeth nee McKenna, Dromore, Co Tyrone formerly of Muldoon Park died peacefully at the South West Acute Hospital, on Tuesday 11th May 2021. Wife of the late Tom. Sister of the late Ita (Garrity), Bella (Garrity), Agnes (Mc Kenna), Maggie (Mc Quaid), Kathleen (Irvine) and Francie (McKenna). Elizabeth’s remains will be received in St Davog’s Church Dromore at 6pm on Wednesday 12th May 2021. Elizabeth’s requiem mass will take place at 11am on Thursday 13th May 2021, followed by her burial in the adjoining cemetery. In light of the Coronavirus and in the interests of health and safety within the community, social distancing must be adhered to at the funeral. Alternatively the funeral mass may be viewed via the Dromore Parish webcam. Deeply regretted by her nephews, nieces and entire family circle. Our Lady pray for her.

Lila passed away peacefully at home on the 22nd of April, a widely respected, devoted family lady and much-loved mother, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend.

We, her family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. We have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of mass and sympathy cards and private messages we have received. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Our thanks to those who called to the house, who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu of flowers and those who left messages online or via social media and to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped out in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Canon Patrick MacEntee and Father Kevin Connolly for their spiritual support at the house and for their visits to Lila during her illness and to Father Kevin for the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially the singer Louise Coyle who provided the beautiful music. Thank you to Patrick of McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Tommy for preparing Lila’s final resting place.

We extend a sincere thank you to the Doctors and staff of Fintona Surgery and to the Beragh & Fintona District Nurses, the Marie Curie Nurses and the Western Trust home care team who cared so professionally and compassionately for Lila. Many thanks also to Una and the staff of Una Cassidy Chemists, Fintona.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Gallagher Caroline, (Sixmilecross) formerly of 90 Augherpoint Road, Gortaclare, Sixmilecross BT79 0YD died peacefully in the South West Acute Hospital on Saturday 24th April 2021 after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late David. Cherished mother to Kyria and mother-in-law to Darren. Loving sister to Michael, James, Margaret Spence, Josephine Coleman, Veronica McCanny, Jacqueline Wolff, Johnny and the late David, Angela and Hughie. Caroline will leave her late residence on Tuesday 27th April for 2pm burial in Greenhill Cemetery, Omagh. In light of the Coronavirus and in the interests of health and safety within the community, the house will be strictly private with social distancing being observed at the committal service. We, as a family, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported and sympathised with us on Paddy’s recent passing. We have been overwhelmed by the volume of telephone calls, mass cards, sympathy cards, touching letters, social media messages, floral tributes, and family refreshments. We drew great comfort from all those who lined the funeral route on Paddy’s last journey through Tattyreagh and Omagh to his final resting place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Drumragh.
We offer our sincere thanks to Fr. Hasson P.P. for his spiritual guidance throughout this time, and for offering the Requiem Mass so carefully and considerately, capturing the essence of Paddy for all of us who loved him so dearly.
We offer our appreciation to the Sacristan, those who assisted with mass arrangements, and to those who joined us through the parish webcam to celebrate Paddy’s life. A special word of thanks to Donna Taggart for her gift of the beautiful funeral music and thank you to Omagh Boys and Girls Boxing Club for their thoughtful guard of honour.
We offer our heartfelt appreciation to Drumragh Sarsfields G.A.C for their support, kindness, and generosity throughout this time. Their careful arrangement of the guard of honour at the funeral, and presence at his graveside, was a fitting tribute to Paddy, who dedicated so much of his life to the growth and development of the club he loved dearly.
