McCarney Michael, Fintona, Co Tyrone, formerly of 86 Derrybard Road, Fintona BT78 2QN, died peacefully at home on Monday 1st January 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary. Treasured father of John (Louise), Brona McAtee (Paddy), Malachy (Rhona) and Padraic (Emma). Loving and devoted grandfather to his 11 grandchildren. Cherished brother of Patsy (the late Mary), Susanna McCann (the late Mickey), Gerald (Patricia), Sally McGurren (Kieran), Frankie (Sally), Gretta Farry (Dessie) and the late Kitty McDonagh (late John), Mary McPhilips (late Patsy) and Tommy (Mary). Much loved son of the late Tommy and Mary.
Michael will be reposing in Grianan House Funeral Home, 4 Carnalea Road, Fintona, BT78 2BY from 2pm until 9.30 pm on Tuesday 2nd January and from 12noon until 9.30pm on Wednesday 3rd January.
The funeral cortege will leave from outside his late residence at 10.30 am on Thursday 4th January, for 11am requiem Mass in St. Lawrence’s Church, Fintona, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish to show a presence on the funeral route, Michael will travel from the Derrybard Road and along the Tattyreagh Road, Ecclesville Road, Tattymoyle Road and Lisdergan Road to arrive at St. Lawrence’s Church for 10.50 am.
