The death has occurred of James McDonnell, Dromore, Co Tyrone.

McDonnell James, formerly of 35 Doughrock Road, Lettergesh, Dromore BT78 3LU died peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on Wednesday 12th July 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Tessie. Treasured father of Lisa Bradley (Martin) and Karen. Devoted and loving grandfather of Aíne. Cherished Brother of Susan Muir, Philip, Anne Maguire, Bernadette Rainey, Packie and the late Charlie and Francie.

James will be reposing in his late residence from 11am on Friday 14th July.    

James will leave his late residence at 2.20pm on Saturday 15th July for 3pm requiem mass in St Davog’s Church, Dromore followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route James will travel from the Doughrock Road and along the Moorfield Road, Tummery Road, Church Street, Main Street and Omagh Road to arrive at St Davog’s Church at 2.50pm.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughters, son in law, granddaughter, sisters, brothers, in laws, nephews, nieces and entire family circle. Our Lady pray for him.

  4. Dear Karen and Lisa. We are so sorry for the loss of your dad, uncle James. He was a generous man and we remember staying at his house spending some time with you all last time we were over. I have fond memories of him taking me out on the trailer, getting in the bales and having fun on the tractors. He shall be sadly missed by us all.
