The death has occurred of Fidelma Platt, Fintona, Co Tyrone.

Platt Fidelma (nee McCarney), Fintona, formerly of 155 Edergole Road, Fintona, BT78 2FF died peacefully at home on Sunday 25th July 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Harry. Treasured mother to Colleen Anderson, Michael, Daniel and Dean. Devoted Gran to her 12 grandchildren. Cherished sister to Marie Gavin, Donal and the late Malachy, Aidan and Gerry Pat. Fidelma will leave her late residence at 10.25 am on Tuesday 27th July for 11.00 am requiem mass in St Lawrence’s Church Fintona followed by her burial in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route, Fidelma will travel from the Edergole Road, along Loughmuck Road, Church Street, Main Street, Tattymoyle Road and Lisdergan Road to arrive at St Lawrence’s Church for 10.55am. In light of the Coronavirus and in the interests of health and safety within the community, the house will be strictly private with social distancing being adhered to at the funeral. Family Flowers only please and donations in lieu kindly accepted for Chest Heart & Stroke c/o McAtee Funeral Directors. Alternatively, the funeral mass may be viewed via the Donacavey parish webcam. Deeply regretted by her loving husband, daughter, sons, grandchildren, sister, brother, in-laws, nephews, nieces and entire family circle. Our Lady pray for her.
