Francy passed away on the 9th of May, a widely respected, much loved brother, uncle, and friend.  We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.  We have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of mass and sympathy cards and private messages we have received. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Our thanks to those who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards or flowers and those who left messages online or via social media. Our thanks to those who attended when Francy’s remains were received in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona and to all those who took part in the funeral service or who joined us via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped out in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Seán Mulligan for his spiritual support and the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially our musician James McShane who provided the beautiful music. Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Tommy for preparing Francy’s final resting place.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Francy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 11th June at 6pm and may also be viewed via the Donacavey Parish Webcam.

The death has occurred of Ann-Marie Mossey, Gortin, Omagh, Co Tyrone.

Mossey Ann-Marie (nee Armstrong), Gortin, Omagh, formerly of 49a Burnside, Main Street, Gortin BT79 8PQ, died peacefully in the South West Acute Hospital on Sunday 29th May. Beloved wife of Mickey. Treasured mother of Michael (Eiméar), Kevin (Lorraine) and Ciarán (Gráinne). Loving and devoted grandmother to Senán, Donnacha and the late baby Tomás. Cherished sister of Michelle McEnhill and Karen Donnelly. Much loved daughter of Michael and the late Margaret.

Ann-Marie will be reposing in her late residence from 6.30pm on Monday 30th May. Ann-Marie will leave her late residence at 11am on Wednesday 1st June for 12noon requiem Mass in St Patrick Church, Gortin. Family flowers only please, with donations in lieu kindly accepted for Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK) c/o McAtee Funeral Directors.  

For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route, Ann-Marie will travel from Burnside, and along Main Street, and Chapel Lane to arrive at St Patrick’s Church for 11.50am. Alternatively the Mass may be viewed via the Gortin Parish webcam. Taggart James (Bimbo) Omagh, formerly of 80 Blackfort Road, Omagh BT78 1PT died peacefully at home on Sunday 29th May. Beloved husband of Patricia. Treasured father of Jason (Adelle), Stacy (Barry), Sean (Clare) and Laura (Eamonn). Loving and devoted grandfather to Fionnbharr, Catháir, Oisín, Fianna, Eoghan, Saorlaith and Éireann. Cherished brother of Mickey, Anne Kelly, Thomas and the late Bernie Raine.

James will be reposing in his late residence from 6pm on Monday 30th May. James will leave his late residence at 11.15 am on Wednesday 1st June for 12noon requiem Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Omagh, followed by his burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Drumragh.

For those who wish to show a presence on the funeral route James will travel from the Blackfort Road, along the Dublin Road, Great Northern Road and James Street to arrive at Sacred Heart Church for 11.50am. Gerry’s wife Eileen, his sister, Kathleen and extended family wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who sympathised and supported us during our recent sad bereavement.  To our relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us in so many ways and helped at the wake – a sincere thank you.

 A special word of thanks to the Staff of the Omagh Palliative Care Ward who looked after Gerry with great dedication and where Gerry was cared for with such dignity in his final days. Your excellent care, professional support, warmth and diligence will never be forgotten.

We, the family of the late Marie O’Brien wish to express our thanks and gratitude to all who attended Mum’s wake and funeral, those who helped at the wake, made and brought refreshments and gave freely of their time and supported us through Mum’s passing.

We, in particular want to acknowledge and thank Fr. Sean Mulligan for his pastoral support and his devoted ministry to Mum in her final times on earth and also for the beautiful Funeral Mass enhanced by the lovely music sung beautifully by Louise Coyle.  Also to thank Fr. McEntee PP for his attendance at the wake and to the previous priests of the parish, Fr. Jim Moore and Canon Patrick Marron for the spiritual help always given to Mum and also to Fr. Kevin Connolly.

A special mention also to Anna Mellon who was always willing to help in times of need and who became a special friend of Mum’s and the O’Brien family.

To all the District Nurses who attended Mum in her final years and were always so respectful and kind we give thanks, also to the Doctors and Staff of Fintona Medical Centre and to all from Cassidy’s Chemist for their help and support.

Thanks also to those who sent Mass and Sympathy cards, conveyed their meaningful and kind words through text messages and social media and those who lined the funeral route.

Thanks also to those who donated in lieu of flowers, a donation for £250 has been made to Trocaire’s Ukraine Appeal.

Finally to McAtee Funeral Directors and Tommy and Gary Boyle for the dignity and reverence shown to Mum and to whom nothing was too much trouble.

Those who encountered Mum in their lives can be assured of her prayers for them in her Heavenly home.

Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated for Mum in St.Laurence’s Church, Fintona on Sat 14th May at 10am.
