The family of the late James Carlin wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to our friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited the house, attended the wake and attended the service and burial and those who provided support at this difficult time. Jimmy was a very special and devoted family man and was a much loved, brother, uncle, brother in law, father and friend to everyone that knew him. A special word of thanks to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Police Service of Northern Ireland who responded quickly and attended to Jimmy with dignity and respect. Special thanks to McAtees Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Tommy for preparing Jimmy’s final resting place.

A special word of thanks to Father Seán for the beautiful service and support he provided. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who was involved within the Mass setting including those that done readings, the prayers of the faithful, the reflection and those that carried up the gifts.               Thanks to James McShane for the beautiful music he provided at the service. Special thanks to Rachel Thompson, Emma and Ryan Brown and Orla Carlin who kept the kitchen ticking over at the wake, thank you to everyone that sent Mass cards or left condolences online, this is greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who lined the street to pay their respects to Jimmy.

We’d also like to thank Ian Thompson Jr for all his assistance and help. Thank you to McAtees Bar and Restaurant for providing the refreshments after Jimmy’s funeral.

Magee Anna (nee Quinn) Fintona, formerly of 22 McCaughey Terrace, Fintona, BT78 2AY, died peacefully at The City Hospital, Belfast on Friday 5th August 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Philip. Treasured mother of Joelene (Stephen) and Philip (Jill). Devoted grandmother of Dionne, Jodie and Rhea. Cherished sister of Teresa, Josie Taylor and Sheila.
Anna will be reposing in her late residence from 5.00pm on Saturday 6th August. Anna will leave her late residence at 10.30am on Monday 8th August for 11.00am requiem Mass in St Lawrence’s Church Fintona, followed by her burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please with donations in lieu kindly accepted for Cancer Research UK c/o McAtee Funeral Directors. For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route, Anna will travel from McCaughey Terrace along the Tattymoyle Road and Lisdergan Road, to arrive at St Lawrence’s Church for 10.50am. Maureen passed away on the 9th July, a widely respected, devoted family lady and a much loved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Thank you to our wonderful family, friends and neighbours who worked tirelessly at Seamus’ house and kept vigil there before we could bring him home and also during the wake.
