The death has occurred of John Clogherty, Fintona, Co Tyrone.

Clogherty John (Fintona) formerly of 15 Meadowbrook, Fintona BT78 2AN died peacefully at home on Tuesday 29th November 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Sandra (nee Patterson). Treasured father of Fonsy, Natasha and the late John Paul and Darren. Loving and devoted grandfather to his grandson Justin. Cherished brother of Barbara, Molly and Eileen. John will be reposing in his late residence from 10am on Wednesday 30th November. House private, family and close friends only. John will leave his late residence at 10.25am on Thursday 1st December for 11am requiem mass in St Lawrence’s Church Fintona followed by his burial in the adjoining cemetery.  For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route, John will travel from Meadowbrook, along Main Street, Tattymoyle Road and Lisdergan Road to arrive at St Lawrence’s Church at 10.50am. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving son, daughter, grandson, sisters, in laws, nephews, nieces and entire family circle and friends. Our Lady pray for him.

Cissie passed away on the 29th of October 2022.  A widely respected, devoted family lady and much-loved mother, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

We, her family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. 

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects. Thank-you to those who called to the family home, telephoned, sent Mass or sympathy cards or flowers and to those who left messages online or via social media.

Thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Canon Noel McGahan P.P. for his spiritual support over the years and the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially our musician Damian Cullen and singers Louise Coyle and Eavan Prenter and Barry Donnelly for the video.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Brendan for preparing Cissie’s final resting place. Also The Bridge Tavern staff who provided the refreshments after the Mass.

We would also like to thank Cissie’s carers, Clogher Valley Day Centre, Una Cassidy Chemist, Fintona Medical Centre and the doctors and staff of the South West Acute Hospital, for their excellent level of care and attention to Cissie during her illness.

Loving and devoted grandfather to his 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Treasured brother of Michael (Sarah), Caitríona (Greg), Diarmaid, Seán and Eoghan. Conor will be reposing in his late residence from 10am on Thursday 10th November. House Strictly Private. Conor will leave his late residence at 10.30am on Friday 11th November for 11am requiem Mass in St. Macartan’s Church, Trillick followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Devoted grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Cherished sister of the late Michael, Tommy and Patsy. Cissie will be reposing in her late residence from 3pm on Sunday 30th October. There will be a shuttle bus service from 3pm on Sunday and from 2pm on Monday, from 23 Ballyness Road BT76 0UD. Cissie will leave her late residence at 11.15am on Tuesday 1st November 2022, for 12noon requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church Eskra followed by her burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. John passed away peacefully at home on the 21st of September.  We, his family wish to thank all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us on our recent bereavement. We express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to our extended family, friends and neighbours who attended the wake and funeral.  Our heartfelt gratitude to Canon Mac Entee for the beautiful mass and words about John. Also thanks to Fr Dolan for all his support and spiritual guidance.  A very special word of thanks to Fergal, Stephen, Tomás and Mickey for the beautiful music, to St Dympna’s GFC, Dromore Ladies GFC and Tummery FC for their guard of honour at the funeral mass and for their support throughout the wake.  Thanks also to the Dromore Ladies Committee for the lovely refreshments in St Patrick’s Hall after the funeral mass.

A special word of thanks to Dromore District Nursing Team, Fintona Medical Centre, Mc Dermott’s Chemist, the nurses and doctors at Southwest Acute Hospital for going over and above the care of duty for John.  Special thanks to Mc Atee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional way in which the funeral was carried out, the gravedigger for preparing John’s final resting place and the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the mass.
