Acknowledgement
Paul Kieran Reid,
Sixmilecross, Co Tyrone,
Died 16th August 2026.
We, the family of the late Kieran, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement. Kieran was the devoted husband of the late Bernie, adored father of Joseph (Charlene), Vincent, Mary Catherine (Luke) and Paul and much loved brother of Br. Joe, Rosemary, Eddie, Felix, Anne, Kevin, Gerald, Mickey, Brendan, Dessie, Martin, Malachy, Kathleen and the late Sean. Also a dearly loved brother in law, uncle, cousin and friend, and a valued member of the local community who was widely respected by all who knew him.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, especially to those who gave so generously of their time to help and serve tea, and to those who brought food, this was truly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who telephoned, sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages or flowers. Thank you to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and the wider community, throughout this difficult time, your support has helped us in so many ways, to find strength and grieve together as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Sean McCartan P.P. for his spiritual support and the very comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singer Ceallach Reid and her accompanist who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music, which added so much to the Funeral service.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger Brendan for preparing Kieran’s final resting place. Our thanks also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tributes and to the St Patricks Hall, Fintona, ladies for the most welcome refreshments after the burial.
We would also like to thank all the medical professionals with whom Kieran came in to contact. We are very grateful for your kindness and support.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Kieran is forever loved and greatly missed every day. May his gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Beragh on Sunday 20th September at 11.30am. St. Padre Pio pray for him.
