The family of the late Louise wish to extend their sincere thanks to everyone who expressed their condolences following the recent untimely loss of our much-loved Louise. Louise was a widely respected and valued member of the local community, but primarily she was a devoted family lady. Precious wife of Neill, adored mother of Emily, James, Grace and Ethan. Dearly loved daughter of Seamus and Geraldine, much loved daughter in law of Seamus and Patricia and sister in law of Carla (Michael), and a much-loved aunt and a very dear friend to many.
We her family are all heartbroken by the loss of Louise, but we are greatly consoled by the outpouring of support, loving care and attention shown to us by all who crossed our paths, during her wake and funeral. Louise’s life was perhaps best reflected by the outpouring of support on social media where she bridged the generations as she had done throughout her life. The anecdotes and tributes shared by many colleagues and friends, gave some indication of the rich tapestry that was Louise’s life and the impact she made on all whom she met. We wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home. Thank you to those who helped with parking, brought food, or who gave so generously of their time to help serve tea, this was truly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who telephoned, sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers, or donations in lieu for Mary’s Meals. Thank you to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and the wider community, throughout this difficult time, your support has helped us in so many ways, to find strength and grieve together as a family.
A special word of thanks to Very Rev. Father Padraig Mac Kenna P.P for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass, and to Fr Denis Dolan, Fr Joseph Nnamdi Mokwe, Fr Kevin Duffy, Canon McGourty and Fr Peter McCawille for concelebrating the Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, Eucharist ministers, and our musician Louise Coyle, who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music, which added so much to the funeral service.
We would also like to thank The Rev John Hemphill cousin of Seamus Molloy who was in attendance, Mr George Beacom M.B.E.; who wrote a small part of the speech that they read about Louise, and also her former colleagues from the Bawnacre Centre for their presence. Our thanks also to St. Dympna’s Primary School for their guard of honour, Louise would have loved this, and it meant a lot to us as a family.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Anton for preparing Louise’s final resting place. Also, to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the beautiful floral tribute, and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the very welcome refreshments after the burial.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Louise is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 22nd August 2026 at 7pm. Our Lady, pray for her.
