Noreen McGinley,

Roscavey Road,

Garvaghey.

Died 17th July 2022.

The family of the late Noreen McGinley wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.  We have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of mass and sympathy cards and private messages we have received. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Our thanks to those who called to the house, who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu of flowers and those who left messages online or via social media. Thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped out in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Michael O’Dwyer PP for his pastoral care and support shown to Noreen and our family during Noreen’s illness and final days. Also, thanks to Monsignor Colum Curry for the comforting Requiem Mass in celebration of her life. We convey our appreciation to the Sacristan Patsy Turbitt and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially our musician Damian Cullen who provided the beautiful music.  Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to Brendan McKenna for preparing Noreen’s final resting place, and to Mary Rafferty for the beautiful flowers. Thanks to Kelly’s Inn for refreshments after the funeral service.

We would also like to thank all those who cared for Noreen and supported us during her illness. Thank you to the staff from The City Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, the Beragh District nursing team and Marie Curie Nurses; who showed nothing but kindness, compassion and consideration in looking after Noreen. Thank you to everyone at the Errigal Medical Centre, Ballygawley for all your help and support, we are truly grateful for the care and attention that she received.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Noreen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Matthew’s Church, Garvaghey on Saturday 20th August at 11am. Our Lady pray for her.
