14 November 2022.

Michael passed away peacefully on the 14th November 2022. A widely respected and dearly beloved family man, much-loved father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way.

Thank you to those who travelled some distance to be with us and called to the funeral home, telephoned, sent mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donation in lieu of flowers and to those who left messages online or via social media. Thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam.

A Heartfelt thanks to Father Seán Mulligan for his spiritual support and beautiful comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially the Sacristan, Anne Monteith and our musician Justin McGurk who provided the beautiful music.  We extend sincere thanks to Canon Noel McGahan P.P for his spiritual support to Michael over the years and Fr. O’Reilly at Ward 5 Enniskillen.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Our thanks also to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Michael’s final resting place. We are very grateful to the Bridge Tavern, Eskra for providing refreshments after the funeral and to Bernie Mc Caffrey, In Full Bloom for the beautiful flowers.

We would like to thank Michael’s carers who showed warmth and devotion to him at home, and to Dr Elliott, Dr Bingham, Dr Boyd, Elaine Johnston, and James Mc Kenna, Clogher Chemist.  A special word of thanks to Clogher Day Centre team and nursing staff for all the kindness and support shown to Michael over the years and to the South West Acute Hospital for their outstanding care during Michael’s illness.  A special word of thanks to the Paramedic Danny who responded rapidly to the emergency.  Gratitude to Mr Ketabchi and Joe Mottram at Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry for their kindness to Michael.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and our heartfelt appreciation.

Michael is ever loved and sadly missed.

Michael’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Friday 16th December 2022 at 7.30pm. Our Lady pray for him.
