We, the family of the late Marie O’Brien wish to express our thanks and gratitude to all who attended Mum’s wake and funeral, those who helped at the wake, made and brought refreshments and gave freely of their time and supported us through Mum’s passing.
We, in particular want to acknowledge and thank Fr. Sean Mulligan for his pastoral support and his devoted ministry to Mum in her final times on earth and also for the beautiful Funeral Mass enhanced by the lovely music sung beautifully by Louise Coyle. Also to thank Fr. McEntee PP for his attendance at the wake and to the previous priests of the parish, Fr. Jim Moore and Canon Patrick Marron for the spiritual help always given to Mum and also to Fr. Kevin Connolly.
A special mention also to Anna Mellon who was always willing to help in times of need and who became a special friend of Mum’s and the O’Brien family.
To all the District Nurses who attended Mum in her final years and were always so respectful and kind we give thanks, also to the Doctors and Staff of Fintona Medical Centre and to all from Cassidy’s Chemist for their help and support.
Thanks also to those who sent Mass and Sympathy cards, conveyed their meaningful and kind words through text messages and social media and those who lined the funeral route.
Thanks also to those who donated in lieu of flowers, a donation for £250 has been made to Trocaire’s Ukraine Appeal.
Finally to McAtee Funeral Directors and Tommy and Gary Boyle for the dignity and reverence shown to Mum and to whom nothing was too much trouble.
Those who encountered Mum in their lives can be assured of her prayers for them in her Heavenly home.
Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated for Mum in St.Laurence’s Church, Fintona on Sat 14th May at 10am.
