Acknowledgement.

Malachy O’Donnell, Trillick, Co Tyrone.

Died 13th February 2022.

Malachy passed away peacefully on the 13th of February, a widely respected, devoted family man, father, father in law, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.  We have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of mass and sympathy cards and private messages we have received. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Our thanks to those who called to the house, who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards, or flowers and those who left messages online or via social media. Thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped out in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family. Sincere thanks also to Marie Curie, District nursing and Community respiratory nursing team, his community care team as well as the wonderful staff in Trillick and Dromore surgeries and O Hagan’s chemist.

A special word of thanks to Canon John McKenna, Fr Padraig McKenna P.P and Fr Artie Mc Cann for their spiritual support and the beautiful meaningful and compassionate requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially the singer Patricia Rodgers who provided the beautiful music.  Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger for preparing Malachy’s final resting place.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Malachy’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated at 8pm on Saturday 12th March in St Macartans Church, Trillick and will be available to watch via www.churchservices.tv Kilskeery Parish, Trillick.

Our Lady pray for him.
