Madeline Teague,
Crosshill, Dromore,
Co Tyrone
Died 20th June 2026.
We, the family of the late Madeline, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Madeline was the devoted wife of the late Terence, adored mother of Edel, Deirdre, Conor (Geraldine), Ciaran (Jill), Dominic (Nuala), Peter (Claire) and Colm. A dearly loved grandmother, great grandmother, and the much loved sister of Enda (Rosaleen) and the late Maeve Hughes (Francis) and Carmel. She was a loyal friend to many in the neighbourhood and parish, and was widely respected by all who knew her.
Thank you to everyone who attended the wake in our home, especially those who brought food, and those who gave so generously of their time and helped out in the kitchen. Your help and presence were greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who brought/sent Mass or Sympathy cards and left messages of condolence on-line or on social media, and to those who sent flowers or donations in lieu. Thank you to all those who lined the funeral route from Madeline’s home and to those who joined us for the beautiful Requiem Mass in St Davog’s Church, Dromore.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of many friends, neighbours and work colleagues throughout this difficult time. This has helped us in so many ways to find the inner strength to grieve together as a family, and we will be forever grateful.
A special word of thanks to Father Joseph Nnamdi Mokwe and Father Denis Dolan P.E. for their spiritual support and for the very comforting Requiem Mass and homily. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan, the Eucharistic Ministers, and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, gift bearers and our musicians Molly Gallagher and her accompanist who provided the beautiful, reverent and uplifting music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were organised and carried out, and to the gravedigger Eamon for preparing Madeline’s final resting place. Our thanks also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the lovely floral tribute, and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.
Finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the health care professionals with whom Madeline came into contact, especially those from the Dromore Surgery and the South West Acute Hospital. We are so very grateful for the kindness and respect shown to her. We would also like to thank all the carers who attended to Mammy for the last few years. Their attention to her every need was exceptional and much appreciated by her and ourselves.
It is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation.
The passing of our Mother has left a great void in our lives, she will be forever in our thoughts. May her kind, generous and gentle soul be granted peace and eternal rest.
Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 25th July at 7pm. Our Lady, pray for her.
