Died 11th January 2024.

The family of the late John E Kelly would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. John was a widely respected gentleman and a dearly loved husband, father, father in law, grandfather, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way.   Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu, and to those who left messages on line or via social media.

Thank you to those who called to the wake house, brought food, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us.

Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Kevin and Father Declan for their spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our singer Donna Taggart who provided the beautiful music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Aerin McGaughey for preparing John’s final resting place and to Stephen and the staff of the Village Inn for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

And finally we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals who helped with John’s care both at home and in Hospital, especially Brian and Jacqui Maguire who cared for John at home with great dignity and professionalism. Dr Deehan and all the staff at the Strule Medical Practice, the Respiratory and District Nurses from Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex and the paramedic team and A&E staff from Altnagelvin Area Hospital.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

John is ever loved and sadly missed, may his gentle, generous soul be granted eternal rest, his Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Killyclogher on 11th February at 11.00am. Our Lady pray for him.
