Acknowledgement. Joe Campbell, Kildrum Road, Dromore, Co Tyrone. Died 1st June 2024.

Joe’s wife Imelda, children Joe, Glenn, Seamus, Katrina and his extended family wish to express their sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported them, through their recent sad bereavement. Joe was a widely respected gentleman and a dearly loved Husband, Father, Father in law, Grandfather, Brother, Brother in law, Uncle, Cousin and Friend.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake house. Sincere thanks to all our neighbours and friends who helped served tea and food, and to Dromore GFC and the Patsy Kelly Sinn Féin Cumann for their help with wake and funeral parking and transport, this was greatly appreciated. Thanks to Leo, Shae and Dooley for the loan of vans and buses. Our appreciation to those who kindly brought food to the wake. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, your support throughout this difficult time has helped us in so many ways.

A special word of thanks to Father Patrick MacEntee P.P. and Father Denis Dolan P.E. for their spiritual support and to Father Dolan for the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singer Sinead Taggart who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Nimmy for preparing Joe’s final resting place. Also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the St Patrick’s Hall ladies for providing the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the health professionals who helped care for Joe, especially the Palliative team, Marie Curie, Macmillan and District Nurses. We are so very grateful for all your care, help and assistance and for the compassion shown to Joe.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Joe is loved and missed every day. May his gentle, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 6th July at 7.00pm. Our Lady pray for him.
