Gerry’s wife Winnie, children Brenda, Kieran, Siobhan, Nuala, Nicola and his extended family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us, through our recent sad bereavement. Gerry was a widely respected gentleman and dearly loved Husband, Father, Father in law, Grandfather, Brother, Brother in law, Uncle and Friend.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages or flowers, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.
We are blessed to have the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, your support throughout this difficult time has helped us in so many ways.
A special word of thanks to Father Seán Mulligan for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, our musician Nuala Sweeney and choir who provided the beautiful music and also Gerry’s granddaughter Aoibhinn for her instrumental contribution.

We also wish to convey our thanks to Gerry’s beloved Fintona Pearses for their treasured guard of honour of at the chapel, this meant a lot to us as a family.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Gerry’s final resting place. Also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tributes, and to McAtee’s Bar & Restaurant for the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all those who helped care for Gerry in recent times; the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Ward 2, South West Acute Hospital, Una Cassidy Chemist and staff, and the Doctors and staff of Fintona Surgery for their professional care of dad in his final weeks. We are very grateful for all your help and assistance.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Gerry is loved and missed every day, may his gentle, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 11th November at 10am. Our Lady pray for him.
