Acknowledgement.

Bridie McGrath.

Died 21st December 2022.

We, the family of the late Bridie McGrath wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us on mum’s recent passing.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way, including those who called to the family home, offered their condolences via telephone and messages, sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu of flowers and to those who brought gifts of food – all were truly appreciated. Thanks to those who lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam.

Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped at our home during mum’s wake. Our thanks to Victor Johnson for the use of the Gospel Hall for car parking and to all those who helped with the co-ordination and smooth running of the transport to the family home.

A special word of thanks to Father Seán Mulligan for his spiritual support to mum over the past year, for the comforting Requiem Mass and for delivering such a beautiful tribute to mum. Thanks also to family friend Father Gary Donegan for concelebrating the Mass. We convey our appreciation to the Sacristan and all who assisted with the Mass, especially Louise Coyle who provided the beautiful music and singing.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Tommy for preparing mum’s final resting place. Our thanks to Kelly’s Inn for providing the welcome refreshments after the burial.

We are extremely grateful to the staff of Altnagelvin Hospital for the wonderful care mum received in the Sperrin Unit over the last 6 years and in A&E and Ward 24 in her recent illness. We appreciate the care and support they gave to us as a family. Our sincere thanks to the carers who showed such compassion and kindness to mum over the years. We wish to acknowledge the Doctors and staff of Fintona Medical Centre, Una Cassidy, pharmacist and the community nurses who attended to mum’s medical needs.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s sincere gratitude.

Bridie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 28 January 2023 at 10am.

Our Lady of Lourdes Pray for her.
