Acknowledgement – Anthony John Greenan, formerly of Rathview Park, Lisbellaw, Co Fermanagh. Died 26th January 2024.

The family of the late Tony Greenan would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Tony was a colourful character, a widely respected gentleman and a dearly loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend and colleague.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way.   Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers and to those who left messages online or via social media, not just from across the island of Ireland but from England, America, Canada, Sri Lanka, Australia, and New Zealand.

Thank you to those who called to the wake house, who helped with refreshments, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass. Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Raymond Donnelly for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our singers James McShane & Jean McCrystal who provided the beautiful uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional way the funeral arrangements were carried out. Our thanks also to the Westville Hotel for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral and to Lakeland Crematorium, Cavan.

And finally, we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals; especially Maple Healthcare, A&E, Same Day Emergency Care, Hospital at Home Team, Cardiac Unit, Omagh Hospital & Primary Care Unit, and wards 1, 2, 3 & 8 in the SWAH, all of who helped Tony through his many health difficulties over the years.   We are very grateful for all your assistance with Tony’s care during his journey.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Tony is forever loved and sadly missed, may his colourful, generous, and kind, soul be granted eternal rest. Tony’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Lisbellaw on Sunday 10th March at 9.30am.  Our Lady pray for him.
