Colton Stephen, Dromore, Co Tyrone, (formerly of 3 Abbey Court, Dromore, BT78 3JB) died peacefully on Wednesday 14th May 2025 in Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Katherine. Cherished brother of Adrian (Carmel), Edwin (Cathy) and the late Joseph. Brother in-law of Crea (Declan), Shane and the late Seamus Jnr. Loving and devoted uncle of Niall, Dermot, Peter, Matthew and Maeve. Son of the late Hugh James and Marjorie. Son in law of the late Seamus and Anne.
Stephen will be reposing in Grianan House Funeral Home, 4 Carnalea Road, Fintona, Co Tyrone, BT78 2BY from 2.30pm until 7.30pm on Sunday 18th May 2025.
Stephen will leave Grianan House Funeral Home at 10.15am on Monday 19th May for 11am requiem Mass in St. Davog’s Church, Dromore, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

For those who wish to show a presence on the funeral route Stephen will travel from the Carnalea Road, and along the Dromore Road, Tummery Road, Esker Road, Church Street, Main Street and the Omagh Road, to arrive at St. Davog’s Church for 10.50am.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, brothers, in-laws, nephews, niece, cousins, and entire family circle and friends. Our Lady pray for him.

I couldn’t believe that Stephen had died. I have known him for years and we went birdwatching together on many occasions. He was an absolute gentleman. My sincere condolences to Katherine and all the family. May he R.I.P.

You had a special friendship with Rosary – she’s so frustrated that she’s not mobile to go over & offer her sympathy. I know that you met Roisin on your walks & she’s asked to offer her sympathy in this message. You were the 1st through the door when daddy died. To know you were next door gave daddy especially a measure of comfort
Katherine, the worst thing that could have happened has happened, but Ive seen often that you’re a very strong person & you’ll have many friends & family who really want to support you, I know everything is devastating.

I’m very saddened to learn of Stephen’s untimely passing. One of life’s gentlemen and at one with nature and so well versed in his field. Sympathies to Catherine and the Colton family on his sad passing…May his gentle soul rest in peace.
