Murray Mary (nee Mellon), Fintona, formerly of 205 Blackfort Road, Fintona, BT78 2JA died peacefully at home on Sunday 4th July 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Dan, Treasured mother to Edel King, mother in law to Martin, devoted grandmother to Daniel, Lawrence, Charlie, Rose and Catherine. Cherished sister to Kathleen Gallagher (Eugene), Donald (Anna), John (Bernie), Gerry (Goretti) and the late Patsy. Mary will leave her late residence at 10.25 am on Wednesday 7th July for 11.00 am requiem mass in St Lawrence’s Church Fintona, followed by her burial in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route, Mary will travel from the Blackfort Road, along the Tattyreagh Road, Carnalea Road, Main Street, Tattymoyle Road and Lisdergan Road to arrive at St Lawrences’s Church for 10.50pm. In light of the Coronavirus and in the interests of health and safety within the community, the house will be private with social distancing being adhered to at the funeral. Family Flowers only please and donations in lieu kindly accepted for Marie Curie c/o McAtee Funeral Directors. Alternatively, the funeral mass may be viewed via the Donacavey parish webcam. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter, son in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sister, in-laws, nephews, nieces and entire family circle. Our Lady pray for her.

I am very sad to hear of Mary’s passing and send sincere condolences to Edel and all of Mary’s family and friends at this very difficult time. Marys hospitality was legendary amongst the local vets and DAERA staff and I was always made so very welcome on my many visits to the family farm over the years. She will be greatly missed.
