The death has occurred of Barney McSorley, Fintona, Co Tyrone.

McSorley Barney, Fintona, Co Tyrone, formerly of 29 Dromore Road, Fintona BT78 2BB, died peacefully in Knockmoyle Lodge Care Facility on Wednesday 19th June 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Mary. Treasured father of Siobhán McMullan, Caroline Kennedy (Eric), Donna Marlow (Mark) and Aidan (Rosie). Devoted grandfather of Ciaran, Catherine-Clare, Ryan, Emma, Shane, Cormac, Shauna, Jarlath, Cillian, Fianna-Rose and great grandfather of Séaghdha, Oisín, Nora, Sadie and Caleb. Cherished brother of Lena (Birmingham), Mary (Garrity), Tommy, Nora (Garrity), Luke and the late Michael, Pat and Bridie (Harty).

Barney will be reposing in his daughter Donna’s residence 50 Garvallagh Road, Seskinore, BT78 2QT from 6pm until 9pm on Wednesday 19^th June and from 12noon until 9pm on Thursday 20^th June.

Barney will leave his daughter Donna’s residence at 10.15am on Friday 21st June for 11.00am requiem Mass in St Lawrence’s Church Fintona, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route, Barney will travel from the Garvallagh Road, and along the Aghafad Road, Mill Street, Main Street, Tattymoyle Road and Lisdergan Road, to arrive at St Lawrence’s Church for 10.50am.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughters, son, sons in law, daughter in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, in laws, nephews, nieces and entire family circle and friends. Our Lady pray for him.
