Acknowledgement.
Kevin McGarry, Maguiresbridge, Co Fermanagh
Died 16th February 2026.

Kevin passed away peacefully on the 16th February. He was a widely respected, hard-working gentleman, but primarily he was a devoted family man, much-loved husband of Bernadette, adored father of Shauna (Leonard), Kevin (Fiona), Brendan, Declan (Bernadette), Cathal (Martina) and John-Paul (Leah). Dearly loved grandfather of Clara, Darryl, Oisín, Niamh, Cillian, Caoimhe, Aodhán, Daithí, Dónal, Lorcan, Alannah, Sophia, Olivia and Caiden and much loved brother of Frank, Theresa, Kate, Eddie and Bernie, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake at our home. Sincere thanks to all who brought food and helped in anyway throughout the wake, this was greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, this has helped us in so many ways to grieve and find strength together as a family.

A special word of thanks to Canon Jimmy McPhillips P.P for his spiritual support and for celebrating the very comforting Requiem Mass. We also convey our appreciation to the Sacristan; and everyone who assisted in the Liturgy; especially our readers, Eucharist ministers, and musician Louise Coyle who provided the beautiful, reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger John for preparing Kevin’s final resting place.

We would also like to thank Clogher Valley Golf Club, St. Patrick’s Lisbellaw Hurling Club and Kevin’s Mannok Colleagues for providing their guards of honour. Kevin would have greatly appreciated this, and it meant a lot to us as a family.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the staff of the South West Acute Hospital for caring for Kevin in his final weeks and days, and to the staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital for his care before this. We are very grateful for the dedication, professionalism, kindness and respect shown to him.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Kevin is greatly loved and sadly missed every day. May his passionate, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Maguiresbridge on Saturday the 14th of March at 6.00pm. Our Lady pray for him.
