Acknowledgement – Thomas (Tommy) McQuaid, formerly of Dooish Road, Badoney, Dromore, Co Tyrone.
Died 10th October 2024.
We the family of the late Tommy would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Tommy was a widely respected gentleman, dearly loved brother of Veronica, Kathleen and the late Barney, Jim, Willie, Joe, Peter, Maureen, Sarah and Nellie, and a devoted and dearly loved uncle, grand uncle, great grand uncle, cousin and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards or sympathy cards, and to those who left messages online or via social media.
Thank you to those who called to the wake house, helped or brought food and to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the funeral Mass.
Thank you to the Credit Union for the Guard of Honour at the entrance to the Church grounds.
Sincere thanks to all our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.
Thank you to the Parish Clergy for their help and guidance. A special word of thanks to Father Denis Dolan PE for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, our singer Anita, Damian the organist, Patricia and Laurence who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Eamon for preparing Tommy’s final resting place. Thank you also to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.
We send our grateful thanks to all the medical professionals with whom Tommy came into contact, and especially our devoted carers who have helped Tommy over the last two years. We are very grateful for the kindness and care shown to Tommy.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Tommy is loved and missed every day, may his gentle, generous, kind soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Tommy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 30th November at 7.00pm.
Our Lady pray for him.
