The family of the late Susan Hannigan would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Susan was a widely respected lady, wife of the late Thomas and a dearly loved, mother, mother in law, grandmother, aunt and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, or flowers, and to those who left messages online or via social media.
Thank you to those who called to the wake house and to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the funeral mass.
Sincere thanks to our neighbours and friends who helped us throughout the wake in so many ways. Special thanks to Adrian O’Neill and Tummery School for use of their premises for parking and to Dooley’s Bus Hire for providing the buses.
A special word of thanks to Father Denis Dolan PE for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our singer Fergal and musicians Stevie and Micheál who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger for preparing Susan’s final resting place. Also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the St Patrick’s Hall ladies for the most welcome refreshments after the burial.
And finally we send our grateful thanks to the Graan Nursing Home who cared so well for Susan during her time there, and all the medical professionals Susan came in to contact with, we are very grateful for all your help with her care.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Susan is loved and missed everyday, may her gentle, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 2nd March at 7pm.
