Phyllis Winters, Dromore, Co Tyrone. Died 3rd October 2024.

The family of the late Phyllis, wish to extend our deep gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Phyllis was a devoted wife to Tony, much loved mother of Deirdre, Aisling, Adrian and Lisa, mother in law of Jody, Robert, Jenny and Hughie, much loved grandmother, and a very dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

We would like to thank all our family and friends who provided assistance throughout the wake and funeral. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who called to the wake house, brought food, sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, or flowers, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are fortunate to have the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues. Your support throughout this difficult time has helped us in so many ways.

A special word of thanks to Father Denis Dolan P.E., Father Aodhán McCrystal S.M.A. and Canon John McKenna P.E. for their spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singer Emma McCarron and musicians James McCaffrey and Alice Hughes, who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Brendan for preparing Phyllis’ final resting place. Also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the St Patrick’s Hall ladies for providing the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the health care professionals and devoted carers who helped care for Phyllis over the last four years, as well as the paramedics from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the staff in the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen. We are so very grateful for all your care, help and kindness.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Phyllis is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, generous, kind soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on 2nd November 2024 at 7.00pm.

Our Lady pray for her.
