Died 4th January 2023.
The family of the late Paschal Hughes, would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through the recent sudden passing of Paschal, our much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who called at the wake house, telephoned, sent Mass or sympathy cards, and flowers, and to those who left messages via social media.
Thank you to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped in so many ways. We also thank Paschal’s friends and colleagues from O’Neill Electrics who formed a guard of honour at the church.
A special word of thanks to Father Patrick MacEntee, PP and Father Damian Bresnahan, SMA who concelebrated the Funeral Mass, and to Father Dolan who assisted at the graveside. We convey our appreciation to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and soloist, Phyllis McGuinness and our organist, Alice Hughes who provided the beautiful music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the grave digger for preparing Paschal’s final resting place. We also thank the St. Patrick’s Hall Ladies Committee for the welcome refreshments after the funeral.
And finally we send our grateful thanks to the doctors and nurses of Altnagelvin Hospital for their care and compassion for Paschal in his short time there.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Paschal’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 25th February 2023 at 7.00 pm.
