Acknowledgement – Packie Cullen, formerly of Killadroy Road, Eskra, Co Tyrone. Died 24th June 2024.
The family of the late Packie would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Packie was a widely respected gentleman, dearly loved brother of Frank, the late Vincent, Michael and Laurence, brother-in-law of Anne, Tan, late Ann and devoted uncle of Mary, Damian, Carmel, Mairead, Dermot, Claire, Nuala, Brian, Niall, Pearse, Deirdre and Mary, great uncle, cousin and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who called to the wake house, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, or flowers, and to those who joined us at the funeral Mass.
We would like to extend a special thank you to those who helped during the wake and to those who generously brought food. Your kindness and support was very much appreciated.
Sincere thanks to all our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Canon Noel McGahan PP for his spiritual support and the very comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and to Damian, Catherine and Aine Cullen who provided the beautiful music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Brendan for preparing Packie’s final resting place. Thank you also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tributes and to The Bridge Tavern for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.
And finally, we send our grateful thanks to all the staff of St. Macartan’s Care Home, Clogher, who cared so well for Packie. Your excellent care, professional support, warmth, and diligence were greatly appreciated.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Packie is loved and missed every day, may his gentle, generous, kind soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Eskra on Wednesday 24th July at 7.00pm. Our Lady pray for him.
