Died 8th August 2024.
The late Mickey’s family wish to express their sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported them, through their recent sad bereavement. Michael was a widely respected gentleman, husband of the late Mary and a dearly loved Father of Martin and Shane, Grandfather of Alice and Dylan, Brother, Brother in law, Uncle and Friend.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake house. Sincere thanks to all who brought food and helped, this was greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu. Thank you to those who lined the funeral route and who joined us at the Requiem Mass.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, your support throughout this difficult time has helped us in so many ways.
A special word of thanks to Father Kevin McElhennon for his spiritual support and visits to Mickey during his illness and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, and Committal, especially our readers, singers and musicians and the Omagh Set Dancers.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger for preparing Mickey’s final resting place. Also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tribute.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to Professor Max Watson MBE and all the staff of the Omagh Palliative Care Team who cared so well for Mickey, we are so very grateful for your kind compassionate care, and all your help and assistance.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Mickey is loved and missed every day. May his kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Killyclogher on Saturday 7th September at 10am. Our Lady pray for him.
