Joseph McNabb, Rahoney, Dromore, Co Tyrone

Died 25th February 2026.

Joe passed away peacefully on the 25th February. He was a widely respected, hard-working gentleman, but primarily he was a dedicated family man, the devoted husband of Eileen. Adored father of Ann-Marie (late J.T), Margaret (Donal), Patricia, Helena (Ciaran), Martin (Jay), Phyllis (Paul) and the late baby Imelda.  Dearly loved grandfather of Eoin, Ella, Niall, Katie, Orlagh, Alana and Oisín and much-loved brother of Patricia and the late Phyllis, brother-in-law of Ian, Uncle and friend. We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home. Sincere thanks to all who brought food and helped, this was greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, this has helped us in so many ways to grieve and find strength together as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Dolan P.E. for his spiritual support and for celebrating the very comforting Requiem Mass. We also convey our appreciation to the Sacristan; and everyone who assisted in the Liturgy; especially our readers, Eucharist ministers, and musicians Fergal McAloon and Stevie Corrigan who provided the beautiful, reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger Anton for preparing Joe’s final resting place. Thank you also Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the lovely floral tribute and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the medical professionals with whom Joe came into contact, especially the Podiatry Department, Dromore Surgery, Bradleys Chemist, the Community Nurses and Carers, Omagh Rehab Unit, the staff of the South West Acute Hospital for their care of Joe in his final weeks, and to the staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital for his care before this. We are very grateful to you all for the dedication, professionalism, kindness and respect shown to him.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Joe is greatly loved and sadly missed every day. May his gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Sunday the 5th of April at 10.00am. Our Lady pray for him.
