Acknowledgement – Joseph (Joe) McGinn, formerly of St. Julian’s House, Omagh, Co Tyrone, Died 11th August 2024.

The family of the late Joe would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all of those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.  Joe was a widely respected gentleman and a dearly loved father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way.   Thank you to those who sent Mass or Sympathy Cards, Flowers and to those who left messages online or via social media.

Thank you to those who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, brought food, helped, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass.

Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Kevin McElhennon PP for his spiritual support and the very comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our singer Sinead Taggart and her accompanist who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the professional manner, in which, the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger for preparing Joe’s final resting place. Our thanks also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tributes.

And finally, we send our grateful thanks to the staff of St Julian’s House and the Omagh Palliative Care Team who looked after Joe so well. We are very grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to Joe and for all your help and support.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Joe is ever loved and sadly missed, may his adventurous, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Killyclogher, Co Tyrone on Saturday 14th September at 10am. Our Lady pray for him.
