Acknowledgement.
John McManus, Omagh, Co Tyrone.
Died 3rd February 2025.
We the family of the late John, would like to express our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement.
John was a widely respected gentleman, adored father of Daniel, Ciara, Maria, Sinead and Leigha. Father in law of Helen, Chris and Brendan. Much loved brother of Geraldine, grandfather, uncle, nephew and friend.
We would like to acknowledge the many gestures of sympathy we received. We are grateful for every Mass and sympathy card, floral tribute or donation on lieu, telephone call, online and social media message.
Our thanks are extended to those who visited the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, brought food, helped, stood along the funeral route, and to those who joined us at the requiem Mass.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of friends, neighbours and work colleagues throughout this difficult time, which has helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Kevin McElhennon P.P. for his spiritual support and very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, our singer Sinead Taggart and her accompanist, who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Brendan, for preparing John’s final resting place. Thank you also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the lovely floral tributes.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the health professionals with whom John came into contact, especially his GP, along with the community staff & nurses in Omagh. Also the staff of the South West Acute Hospital Ward 8. We are so very grateful for the kindness shown to John and for all your care, help and assistance.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.
John is loved and missed every day. May his kind, gentle, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Killyclogher on Monday 3rd March 2025 at 10.00am. Our Lady pray for him.
