Acknowledgement – James McGaughey, formerly of Crocknacor Road, Omagh, Died 23rd August 2023.
The family of the late James would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. James was a widely respected gentleman and a dearly loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards or flowers and to those who left messages online or via social media.
Thank you to those who called to the wake house, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass. Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Kevin McElhennon PP and Father Declan McGeehan CC for their spiritual support and Father Declan for the very comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our singer Gerarda McCann who provided the beautiful music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional way the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger for preparing James’ final resting place. Our thanks also to The Village Inn for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.
And finally, we would especially like to sincerely thank Ryan Hawkes for his support and comfort to James and for calling the emergency services. We also send our grateful thanks to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, the PSNI and the Northern Ireland Coroner’s Office for their exemplary care of James and the kindness and compassion shown to our family at the time.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude, everyone’s support has not gone unnoticed. Thank You.
James is forever loved and sadly missed, may his gentle, generous soul be granted eternal rest, his Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Killyclogher at 10am on Saturday 23rd September. Our Lady pray for him.
