McDonald Gussie.
Fintona, Co Tyrone.
Died 1st August 2021.
Gussie passed away suddenly on the 1st of August, a widely respected and loved, devoted family man and friend. We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. We have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of mass and sympathy cards, letters and private messages we have received. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thanks to those who called to the house with provisions, who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards, who wrote touching letters, sent flowers, left messages on-line or via social media and to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives and friends who helped out in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Patrick McEntee for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, and to the choir who provided the beautiful music. Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Tommy for preparing Gussie’s final resting place.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Gussie’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Friday 3rd September 2021 at 7.30pm and may be viewed via the Donacavey Parish Webcam.
