Died 16th February 2026.
We, the family of the late Florrie, wish to extend our deep gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Florrie was an amazing lady, who lived a long, very interesting and industrious life, but primarily she was the devoted wife of the late Bob, dearly loved sister of Roy (Dorothy), the adored aunt of Ann and Michael and a much loved great aunt and friend, who was widely respected by all who knew her.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, especially those who helped with organising and providing refreshments. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, expressed their condolences with messages online or via social media, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us for the beautiful Requiem Mass in St Lawrence’s Church in Fintona.
We are so blessed and thankful to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and the work colleagues throughout this difficult time. Your support has helped our family in so many ways to find strength and to celebrate and give thanks for Florrie’s life.
A special word of thanks to Father Sean Mulligan PP for his spiritual guidance and support and for celebrating the beautiful requiem Mass and also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, gift bearers and Louise Coyle who provided the beautiful and uplifting music which added so much to the funeral service.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Florrie’s final resting place.
Finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the health care professionals with whom Florrie came into contact especially; the staff of the South West Acute Hospital, Omagh Rehab Unit and Hillcrest Nursing Home. We are very grateful for the kindness and respect shown to her.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude to all those who supported Florrie during her life and who helped in any way during the wake and funeral.
Florrie was greatly loved by her family and by everyone who knew her, and she will be very sadly missed. May her passionate, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Florrie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Killyclogher on Sunday 12th April at 11.15am. Our Lady Queen of Peace, pray for her.
