Died 10th February 2023.
The family of the late Eugene Donnelly, would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Eugene was a much loved husband, father, father in law, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who called to the family home, telephoned, sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations, and to those who left messages online or via social media. Our thanks to those who lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the funeral Mass and to all our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Patrick MacEntee, PP for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Mass, especially our musician Jamie Donnelly who provided the beautiful music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the grave digger for preparing Eugene’s final resting place. Our thanks also to Sheenagh for the lovely flowers, and to the St. Patrick’s Hall Ladies Committee for the welcome refreshments after the burial.
We would also like to send our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Renal Unit at Omagh Hospital, who cared so professionally and compassionately for Eugene over many years. We would also like to thank the team at the Palliative Care Unit in Omagh, who cared so compassionately for Eugene in the latter weeks.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
