Elizabeth McCaffrey, Galbally Road, Dromore, Co Tyrone.
Died 7th January 2025.

We the family of the late Elizabeth, are deeply grateful to all those who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement.

Elizabeth was the devoted wife of the late Fay and adored mother of Paul, Mark, John, Declan, Conor and Una. She was the mother in law of Monica, Eleanor, Donna, Brie and Paul and a dearly loved grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu. Thank you to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, which has helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Denis Dolan PE for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass and to Father Aodhán McCrystal SMA for assisting with the Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the sacristan Patricia and everyone who took part in the liturgy, especially our readers and our musicians Fergal, Stevie and James who provided beautiful, reverent and uplifting music.

We would also like to thank Fr. McEntee, Fr. Joe Gormley, Canon Denis McGettigan, Fr. Anthony O’Leary and Fr. Eamon Kelly for all their prayers.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Eamon for preparing Elizabeth’s final resting place. Thank you also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the elegant floral tributes and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies, who provided refreshments after the funeral with quiet efficiency and skill.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the medical professionals and carers with whom Elizabeth came into contact, especially the carers who came to her home, the staff of Meadowview Care Home, Enniskillen, Ward 6 South West Acute Hospital and Dromore Health Centre. We are very grateful for all your help, and for the warmth and kindness shown to Elizabeth.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, the holy sacrament of Mass will be celebrated as an acknowledgement of our gratitude and appreciation.

Elizabeth is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest.  Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 15th February at 7pm.  Our Lady, pray for her.
