Acknowledgement – Eleanor Large, formerly of Montague Villas, Dromore, BT78 3AR. Died 6th March 2024.
The family of the late Eleanor Large would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Eleanor was a widely respected lady, wife of the late Robert and a dearly loved, mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, or flowers, and to those who left messages online or via social media.
Thank you to those who called to the wake house and to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the funeral Mass.
Sincere thanks to all our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped us in so many ways throughout this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to Father Denis Dolan and Canon Patrick MacEntee for their spiritual support throughout Eleanor’s illness and to Father Dolan for his comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singers James McShane and Jean who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger for preparing Eleanor’s final resting place. Thank you also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the beautiful floral tributes.
And finally we send our grateful thanks to all the medical professionals with whom Eleanor came in to contact, especially the community carers, District nurses, Marie Curie nurses and the staff of Altnagelvin Hospital, we are very grateful for all your help with her care, and for the dignity and compassion shown to her, during her final days.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Eleanor is loved and missed everyday, may her gentle, generous, kind soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Sunday 7th April at 10am.
