Acknowledgement – Arthur O’Neill, formerly of 8 Sperrin Close, Omagh, died on 29/02/24.
The family of the late Arthur O’Neill would like to express our deep appreciation, and heartfelt thanks, to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us, throughout our heart breaking loss. Arthur was a widely respected gentleman, and a dearly loved husband, father, father in law, grandfather, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu, and to those who left messages online, or via social media. We are in awe of how loved and popular Arthur was.
Thank you to those who called to the wake house, brought food, lined the funeral route, and who joined us at the Mass.
Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us, in so many ways, to grieve, as a family; including those who travelled far to be with us.
A special word of thanks to Father Eugene Hasson, and Father Raymond McCullough, for their continued spiritual support, and for the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation, also, to the Sacristan, and to everyone who took part in the Liturgy; especially the readers, and our talented singer Aoife McCullagh, and musician Eamon McElholm, who provided the most beautiful singing and music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger for preparing Arthur’s final resting place. Our thanks also extend to Jude, of Floral Temptations, for the beautiful floral tributes, and to The Village Inn (McGinns) for their lovely food and service.
And finally we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals, who supported and cared for Arthur, over the years; particularly the Belfast City Hospital.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Arthur will be forever loved and missed. May his gentle and kind soul be granted eternal rest. Arthur’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Omagh, on Friday 5th April, at 7.30pm. Our Lady, pray for him.
