Trillick, Co Tyrone
Died 15th February 2026.
We, the family of the late Ann, wish to extend our deep gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Ann was a widely respected lady, the devoted wife of John, adored mother of John (Louise), Conor (Leanne) and Catherine (Killian). Dearly loved grandmother of Aoife, Seán and Tíarnán, and an adored aunt, and friend.
We would especially like to thank Mummy’s nephew John for his help throughout Mummy’s illness and his involvement in getting Mummy home. Our thanks also to our extended family members for all their help during this time,
Thank you to everyone who called to the Wake in our home, helped or brought food, this was greatly appreciated.
Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages on line or via social media, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, this has helped us in so many ways to grieve and find strength together as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Padraig MacKenna PP for his spiritual support and the very comforting requiem Mass. We would also like to thank Canon John McKenna P.E for his spiritual guidance throughout Mummy’s illness and during her time in hospital. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our musicians Fergal McAloon and Stevie Corrigan who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music, which added so much warmth to the funeral service.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Brendan for preparing Ann’s final resting place. Our thanks also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the lovely floral tribute.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the health care professionals who helped care for Ann, especially the staff of the South West Acute Hospital who cared for her with such kindness in her final days. We are so very grateful for all your help and assistance and for the kindness and respect shown to Ann.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Ann was greatly loved and will be missed every day. May her gentle, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Macartan’s Church, Trillick on Saturday 14th March 2026 at 8pm. Our Lady pray for her.
