Acknowledgement – Andrew Hamilton, formerly of Church Street, Fintona. Died 12th June 2023.

Andy passed away on the 12th June, a widely respected gentleman and dearly loved father, step father, father in law, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We his family would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way.   Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers, or who left messages on line or via social media.

Thank you to those who called to the wake house, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass.

Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Seán Mulligan for his spiritual support throughout Andy’s illness and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our singer James McShane who provided the beautiful music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Andy’s final resting place. Our thanks also to McAtees Bar & Restaurant for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

And finally we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals who helped with Andy’s care both at home and in Hospital, especially Ward 32 Altnagelvin Hospital and Omagh Primary Care Complex. We are very grateful for all your assistance with Andy’s care during his illness.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Andy is ever loved and sadly missed, may his gentle, generous soul be granted eternal rest, his Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 5th August at 6pm. Our Lady pray for him.
