Alice Nugent, Innismagh, Ballygawley, Co Tyrone.
Died 14th January 2025.
We the family of the late Alice, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement.
Alice was a widely respected lady, devoted wife of the late Gerry and adored mother of Colm, Blanaid and Conor. Mother in law of Penny, Matthew and Roisin and dearly loved grandmother of Hugh, Eoín (Niamh), Ruari, Eimear, Jim, Tara, Aoibhe, and Kenneth and great grandmother of Eoghain, sister in law, aunt and friend.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake house, brought food or helped, this was greatly appreciated, as was the assistance from Thomas Clarke GFC. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu. Thank you to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, which has helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Patrick Hannigan P.P. for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers and singers Claire and Niamh McCrystal along with Rev David Bell who provided the beautiful, reverent and uplifting music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Michael for preparing Alice’s final resting place. Thank you also Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the lovely floral tributes and to Quinn’s Corner for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the medical professionals and carers with whom Alice came into contact, especially the management and staff at Sanville Nursing Home, in particular Rita and Jelly-Ann for their dedication and compassion. We are very grateful for all your help, and for the warmth and kindness shown to Alice.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.
Alice is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph’s Church, Ackinduff on Saturday 15th February at 7pm. Our Lady pray for her.
