The family of the late Anthony Colton would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Anthony was a widely respected gentleman and a dearly loved husband, father, father in law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, and flowers; and to those who left messages on line or via social media.
Thank you to those who called to the wake house, brought food, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the funeral Mass.
Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Dolan for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We also thank Father Brian O’Kane for his support. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our musicians who provided the beautiful music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravediggers for preparing Anthony’s final resting place. Our thanks also to the ladies in St Patrick’s Hall for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.
And finally we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals who helped with Anthony’s care in S.W.A.H.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Anthony is ever loved and sadly missed. May his gentle, generous soul be granted eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday the 17th of October at 7pm. The family warmly invite you back to Anthony’s late residence for refreshments after mass. Our Lady pray for him.
