Rose McCann,
Fintona, Co Tyrone.
Died 23rd July 2026.
We the family of the late Rose, wish to extend our deep gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Rose was a widely respected lady, devoted wife of the late Billy, adored mother of Liam (Joan), Cathal (Teresa), Eugene (Julie) and Bertella (Eamonn) and the late Sean (late Noreen), a dearly loved grandmother and great grandmother, and a much loved sister, aunt, and friend.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu and to those who left messages online or via social media.
Thank you to those who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, brought food, or who gave so generously of their time to help, this was greatly appreciated, also to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the requiem Mass, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, this has helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Very Rev. Father Seán Mulligan P.P. for his spiritual support and the very comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our musicians and friends Fergal McAloon and Stevie Corrigan, and Rose’s Great Grandson Dan who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.
Our thanks also to Rev. Father Malachy Gallagher for his spiritual support and visits to Rose in the Nursing home and to the Eucharist Ministers who also attended to her in the home.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Rose’s final resting place. Our thanks also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the lovely floral tributes and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.
And finally we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals who helped with Rose’s care, especially the staff of Hillcrest Nursing Home. We are very grateful for your help and for the kindness and respect shown to Rose.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Rose is forever loved and greatly missed every day. May her gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Friday 21st August at 7.30pm. Our Lady pray for her.
