Died 10th April 2026.

We, the family of the late Rosaleen, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Rosaleen was a loyal friend to many in the neighbourhood and parish, and was widely respected by all who knew her, but primarily, she was a devoted to her family, the beloved wife of the late Francis. Adored mother of Philip, Eamonn (Eilish), Barney (Tracy), Anne Marie (Stephen), Paul (Teresa), Kieran (Sarah) and the late Kevin (late Una), a dearly loved grandmother and great grandmother and a much-loved aunt and friend. Rosaleen will be greatly missed by all of us.

Thank you to everyone who attended the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home. To those who brought food, and to those who gave so generously of their time and helped out in the kitchen, this was very greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who brought/sent Mass or Sympathy cards, left messages of condolence on social media and to those who made donations in lieu of flowers towards Dementia NI. Thank you to all those who lined the funeral route and those who joined us for the beautiful Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Killyclogher.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of many friends, neighbours and work colleagues. We also express our gratitude to those who travelled long distances to be with us throughout this difficult time.

A special word of thanks to Father Kevin McElhennon P.P. for his spiritual support of Rosaleen and for the very comforting Requiem Mass and homily. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan, the Eucharistic Ministers, and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, gift bearers and our singer Louise Coyle who provided the beautiful, reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were organised and carried out, and to the gravedigger Aaron for preparing Rosaleen’s final resting place. Our thanks also to Nettles and Petals for the lovely floral tribute and to MMB Catering for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral in the Parish Hall.

Finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the health care professionals with whom Rosaleen came into contact, especially the staff of Three Rivers Care Home, who looked after her so well in her final days. We are so very grateful for all your care, help and assistance, and for the kindness and respect shown to Rosaleen.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation. We are indebted to you all.

Rosaleen’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated jointly with the 18th Anniversary Mass of her dear husband Francis who passed away on the 12th May 2008. Both are very sadly missed by all who knew them. May their kind, generous and gentle souls be granted peace and eternal rest.

The Joint Mass will take place in Christ the King Church, Omagh on Tuesday 12th May at 7.30pm. St. Joseph and Our Lady of Lourdes pray for them.
