Died 7th January 2026.

We, the family of the late Enda, wish to extend our deep gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement.  Enda was a well known, highly respected and valued member of the local community and was the devoted husband of Mona, adored father of Garry (Andrea), Justin and the late Connor. The dearly loved grandfather of Aoife, Orla and Aisling and a much loved brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.

We wish to thank everyone who called to his wake, brought food, or helped, this was greatly appreciated.  Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at Enda’s Requiem Mass.

We are so blessed and thankful to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and the wider community throughout this difficult time. Your support has helped our family in so many ways to find strength together to grieve, and give thanks for Enda’s life.

A special word of thanks to Fathers Kevin McElhennon and Father Malachy Gallagher for their spiritual guidance and support, and to Father Malachy for the beautiful requiem Mass.  Also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, gift bearers, and James McShane and Joan who provided the beautiful and uplifting music which added so much to the funeral service.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger, Aerin Mc Gaughey, for preparing Enda’s final resting place. Also, to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tribute and to the staff of Village Inn for the very welcome refreshments after the burial.

Finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the health care professionals with whom Enda came into contact, especially the staff of the Intensive Care Unit of the South West Acute Hospital. We are so very grateful for the level of care Enda received during his final days.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Enda was greatly loved by his family and by everyone who knew him, and he will be very sadly missed.  May his gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Enda’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Killyclogher on Sunday 22nd February, at 11.15am. Our Lady pray for him.
