Acknowledgement.
PJ Taggart, Fintona, Co Tyrone. Died 13th November 2024.

We the family of the late PJ, would like to express our warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. PJ was a devoted husband of the late Bernie, adored father of Paddy, Brian Paula, Mary, Louise, William and Niall. A treasured father-in-law, much loved grandfather, and a very dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us. To those who helped or brought food, this was greatly appreciated.  Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu to ICU, R.V.H, and to those who lined the funeral route or joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, your support throughout this difficult time has helped us in so many ways.

We send our sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to all the health care professionals and devoted carers in ICU Royal Victoria Hospital for their kindness and care shown to PJ.

A special word of thanks to Father Damian Bresnahan S.M.A. for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers. A special thanks to our singers Donna and Sinead Taggart and their accompanist Ray who provided the beautiful heart warming music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Ciaran for preparing PJ’s final resting place. Also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tributes, and to St. Patrick’s GAC Tattyreagh and Farley’s bar Beragh for providing the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

PJ is loved and missed every day. May his gentle soul rest in peace. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona, on Saturday 14th December at 10am. Our Lady pray for him.
