Acknowledgement – Terry Baxter, formerly of Ashfield Gardens, Fintona, Co Tyrone. Died 5th November 2024.

We the family of the late Terry would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Terry was a widely respected gentleman, adored father of John and Charlie, father in law of Rona and Avril. Devoted grandfather of Matthew, Nathan, Laura, Aaron and Shauna. Dearly loved brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, sympathy card or flowers, and to those who left messages online or via social media.

Thank you to those who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, helped or brought food. Thanks also to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the funeral Mass.

Sincere thanks to all our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Sean Mulligan C.C. for his spiritual support and the very comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singer Louise Coyle who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Terry’s final resting place. Thank you also Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the lovely floral tributes and to McAtee’s Bar and Restaurant for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

We send our grateful thanks to all the medical professionals with whom Terry came into contact, especially to the devoted carers who helped care for Terry over the last 6 months, as well as the paramedics from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the staff in the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen. We are so very grateful for all your care, help and kindness.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Terry is loved and missed every day, may his gentle, generous, kind soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Terrys Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 7th December at 6.00pm.

Our Lady pray for him.
