Jean O’Neill Died 14th July 2024

The family of the late Jean O’Neill wish to express our deep gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised, prayed for and supported us, during our recent sad bereavement. Jean was a widely respected lady, beloved wife of the late Francis, adored Mother of the late Frankie (Angie), Maura (late Eamonn), John (Agatha), Vincent (Liz), Carmel, Breige (Noel), Rita (Paddy), Roisin (Gerry), Patricia (Tony), Anne (late John), Terry (Anne) and Monica. Devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Sister, Sister in Law, Aunt and Friend.

Sincere thanks to everyone who sent Mass cards, Sympathy cards or sent messages or flowers. Thanks also to the many who attended the wake, helped or brought food, lined the funeral route and all those who joined us at the Requiem Mass or via the webcam.

We would also like to convey our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, kind neighbours and friends who helped out in so many ways. We were so blessed to have your support and help throughout this difficult time.

A special word of thanks to Father Denis Dolan PE for all his spiritual support and for the very comforting Requiem Mass. Our thanks is also extended to Canon Noel McGahan PP who concelebrated the funeral mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan Patricia and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, gift bearers and eucharistic ministers and to Fergal, Stephen and Mark who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Eamon for preparing mums final resting place. Also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the lovely floral tributes and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

Finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the carers, the District Nursing Team, Fintona Medical Centre and Una Cassidy Pharmacy for all their help, warmth and kindness shown to mum.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Mum is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest.
Mum’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 24th August at 7.00pm. Our Lady pray for her.
