Acknowledgement – Mamie Kelly,
Trillick, Co Tyrone
Died 3rd January 2026.

We, the family of the late Mamie, wish to extend our deep gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent bereavement. Mamie was the dearly beloved sister of Petey (late Teresa), Seamus (Margaret), Bernadette (Gerry), and the late John (Briege), an adored aunt and friend and was widely respected by all who knew her.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Mamie’s home, especially those who helped with organising and providing refreshments and those who helped with parking and the shuttle bus service. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, expressed their condolences with messages online or via social media, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us for the beautiful Requiem Mass in St Macartan’s Church in Trillick.

We are so blessed and thankful to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and the wider community throughout this difficult time. Your support has helped our family in so many ways to find strength and to celebrate and give thanks for Mamie’s life.

A special word of thanks to Father Padraig MacKenna PP and Canon John Mckenna for their spiritual guidance and support. Mamie greatly valued and derived great comfort from their regular visits to her home. Our deep appreciation to them for the beautiful requiem Mass and also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, gift bearers and The Kelly Family and Odhran Sweeney who provided the beautiful and uplifting music which added so much to the funeral service.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to Brendan for preparing Mamie’s final resting place in Magherlough graveyard. Our thanks also to Mary Howe Flowers for the lovely floral tribute and to the wonderful ladies of Trillick Leisure Centre for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

Finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to Sharon and all the health professionals who cared for Mamie with such dedication and kindness in her home. Sincere thanks also to O’Hagan’s Pharmacy and the doctors, nurses and staff of Trillick and Dromore Surgery. We also extend our gratitude to the wonderful staff of Altnagelvin Hospital for their care and professionalism and especially to Dr. Anne Donnelly who looked after Mamie with such compassion and kindness in her final days.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude to all those who supported Mamie and who helped in any way during the wake and funeral.

Mamie was greatly loved by her family and by everyone who knew her, and she will be very sadly missed.  May her gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Mamie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Macartan’s Church, Trillick on Saturday 7th Feb. at 10 am. Our Lady Queen of Peace, pray for her.
